As co-commentator, pimples expert Sebastian Sauer will be a guest at the table tennis Bundesliga match between the TTC Zugbrücke Grenzau and the TTC Schwalbe Bergneustadt on 23 February 2021. Even if there is no pimples player it will be an entertaining game!
How the #1 pimples rap is mixing up the table tennis scene
Dear pimples community,
we hope that you continue to be well and that you think about the little white ball from time to time during the table tennis break. We could make a refreshing and cool contribution with our NoppenRap. For those who don’t know the genre yet: The #1 song of the pimples rap charts is now reserved for MC Backhand (Sebastian Sauer) feat. Zembla (Carlos Lang):
To play the #PimplesRap you can simply click on the video at the beginning.
You are welcome to share the #PimplesRap with your teammates and clubmates in WhatsApp groups or on Facebook!
You will surely be happy to see something varied!
A Rapvideo was and is not only something new in table tennis – No – Because with the #PimplesRap we also succeeded in making a viral hit, at least in the table tennis area. Everywhere in the world the video was shared by renowned platforms, associations and players. For example mytischtennis, the biggest table tennis platform in Germany has appointed the #PimplesRap to the video of the week. The Hungarian Table Tennis Association announced that Chuck Norris would play with material from Sauer & Tröger.
Many players were also very happy that the game with pimples was presented in a very positive and modern style. This pleases us most of all! Because: “Pimples are cool” – and this is the message we want to carry out into the world of table tennis with the #PimplesRap. Many players have also found their new introductory music or the ideal song on the way to the away game with the #Pimples Rap. This list of positive comments could be continued for a long time.
Occasionally there were a few negative reviews, for example from the current german Bundesliga coach of the Post SV Mühlhausen, Erik Schreyer. With his trained eye, he complained that in the video I came across as a bit hip-stiff. He’s right in one way or another, and maybe in the future I’ll be a little better off with the pimples on the table, as the name “MC Backhand” suggests. Another user wrote that the video was really great, but that the guy in the red pants (that was me) would ruin everything… But I thought to myself: if I’m already involved in something like this, then I had to rap a few lines myself…
In summary, I can say that the video has not missed its purpose. The #PimplesRap lets the pimple game and also the table tennis game appear in a modern light. For many players the rap has sweetened the time without playing and brought a smile to their faces. What more do you want? I would do it again anytime and I hope that the video will inspire other institutions to dare and implement something different.
Short note: The magazine of the German Table Tennis Coaches Association will publish a detailed report about the background, the development and the course of the video in its next issue of the magazine “Tischtennis-Lehre” (TTL).
Personally, I always enjoy trying something new that others have not done yet and whose outcome I do not know in detail. With these things the most beautiful things can be created in the end. We already have other, highly interesting things in the planning stage. Just let yourself be surprised (positively).
Finally, please tell us how you liked the video and what you thought was especially “cool”?
Will the #PimplesRap change the image of pimples players and make it more modern?
We are looking forward to your feedback!
